Buttery Salmon Fillets

Salmon is an absolute favorite fish of ours. It’s protein-packed and full of heart-healthy Omega-3s. What we love the most about this fillet of fish is you really can’t mess it up. It’s a sturdy fish that can take some “abuse”, so if you’ve never made or served fish, start with salmon. Our favorite side dish to serve with this recipe is our Brown Butter Cous Cous and/or Roasted Broccolini.

Ingredients:Buttery Salmon Fillets

  • 2 center cut wild caught salmon fillets
  • ½ stick of butter
  • ½ bunch of fresh thyme
  • salt and pepper

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350. Place a small pot over medium heat and melt butter. De-stem 5-6 sprigs of the thyme. Crush them lightly with your palms and add to the melted butter. Allow them to hang out for a few minutes over low heat. Your butter will slightly brown. Line a baking sheet with foil. With a pastry brush, brush butter onto the center of the foil. Season both sides of the salmon with salt and pepper. Place salmon on the baking sheet and brush each fillet liberally with the melted butter. Place in the oven and cook for 10-15 minutes, until you can flake it with a fork.
