Cinnamon Chip Cupcakes

My best friend recently came to town. Since I hadn’t seen her in 5 years, I really wanted to impress her with an awesome cupcake. Not only did this recipe blow her and her family away, but I got an offer that day to do cupcakes for her cousin’s wedding. So, if you want to impress those in-laws the next time they come to town, try this easy bake cupcakes. You’ll have they key to their heart after they try these.

Ingredients:Cinnamon Chip Cupcakes

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips – milk chocolate
  • ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz whipped cream cheese
  • 1 cup cool whip

Directions:

Mix cake mix as directed. Once your batter is smooth add an additional step by folding in 2 tbsp of cinnamon and chocolate chips. Make sure not to over mix and be sure to read the box to see what additional ingredients is needed to make the cupcakes, i.e. eggs, milk or eggs. Bake as directed. Allow cupcakes to cool. While the cakes are cooling, making whipped icing. In a small bowl, add cream cheese and cool whip. Add 1 tbsp of cinnamon and use a hand mixer to combine. Use a piping bag or pastry knife to top each cupcake. Garnish the top with a sprinkle of cinnamon and maybe a chocolate chip or two.
